Then the angel spoke to the women. "Don't be afraid!" he said. "I know you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He isn't here! He is risen from the dead, just as he said would happen." - Matthew 28:5-6
REFLECTION
The resurrection of Jesus Christ is an incredible miracle. It is also the mark of the greatest victory ever won. The Lord conquered sin and death so that we may have life. He lived a perfect, sinless life, and followed every detail of the Father's plan for our redemption--all the way to the point of death.
Think about what took place for a minute. God loves us so much that He sent His one and only Son to pay the price for our sins. He did this because He's merciful and full of love. God is also just, which means that the evil and corruption in the world will not go unpunished. This is why all of us, who are each made in the image of God but have sinned, must choose to accept God's plan through Jesus in order to be set free from sin and death.
Jesus Christ accepted death on the cross to pay the price for our sins. He was buried in a tomb and then rose from the dead on the third day, just like He said He would. Then we ascended to be at the right hand of the Father where He advocates for all who believe in Him. The Lord is the only way to true life. His sacrifice and resurrection mark the greatest victory that has ever been won.

I pray for life, true life, for all of us. I pray that we will be done with fear, doubt, sin, and anything else that gets in the way of a real relationship with God. I pray that we all accept God's plan for eternal joy, peace, and life.
